This Wednesday, June 27th, marks a pivotal day towards DC’s budget freedom. The District of Columbia Budget Autonomy Act of 2012 (S. 2345) will be brought before the Senate Homeland Security and Governmental Affairs Committee for a vote.
This is an exciting opportunity for DC residents to show the members of the Committee that they support this bi-partisan, common-sense legislation. How? By showing up.
The committee markup will be held at 10:00 AM on Wednesday, June 27th in the Dirksen Senate Office Building room 342. The room is likely to fill quickly, so if you plan on attending, please make sure to get there early.
