Join DC Vote and The DC League of Women Voters for Women's Equality Day

Ninety years ago, the 19th Amendment granted women the right to vote. Today, women and men in the District of Columbia are still fighting to end taxation without representation.

DC Vote and the League of Women Voters invite you to join a demonstration on Thursday, August 26, 2010, to commemorate that historic Amendment and draw attention to the lack of full democracy for Washington, DC citizens.

The march will last all day. To join the DC Vote contingent, meet us between 2:30 PM - 4:30 PM.

Participants are encouraged to wear white and our hot-off-the presses "Demand Democracy" T-shirts are perfect. Reserve one today by emailing Leah Ramsay at lramsay@dcvote.org.

Please RSVP by emailing the League at lwvdc826@aol.com with your name and approximate time you are planning to join us.

For more information click to get the flyer from the League of Women Voters.
